Minor

A student may minor in African/African-American Studies by completing 18 hours. Requirements are AFA 201 and AFA 202 (as the core courses), and 12 additional hours from the following courses:

AFA 225, AFA 304, AFA 305, AFA 345, AFA 346, AFA 347, AFA 349, AFA 360, AFA 385, AFA 386, AFA 495; SOC 400.

Certificate

A certificate can be obtained in African/African-American Studies by completing 12 hours. Requirements are AFA 201 and AFA 202 (as the core courses) and six additional hours from the following courses:

AFA 225, AFA 304, AFA 305, AFA 345, AFA 346, AFA 347, AFA 349, AFA 360, AFA 385, AFA 386, AFA 495; CDF 424; ENG 342; SOC 400.
